Matacs Technologies Inc. (“Matacs,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the MamaBots platform, including its web portal, mobile applications, and kiosk software (collectively, the “Services”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information, including health-related data, in accordance with applicable privacy laws such as the U.S. Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and other international data-protection regulations. By using MamaBots, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. Patients accessing MamaBots through a healthcare provider do so under the consent provided by that provider (the “Client”).
We collect information necessary to provide and improve our Services. This may include personal identifiers such as your name, email address, and phone number; and Protected Health Information (PHI), such as appointment type, provider name, clinic location, and appointment status. We may also collect technical data, including device type, IP address, and browser information, to ensure security and performance.
Your information is used solely to deliver, manage, and improve MamaBots’ scheduling and queue management features. We use your data to facilitate appointments, send confirmations or reminders, maintain system security, enhance user experience, and comply with our legal and contractual obligations. We do not sell or rent your personal information.
We share information only as necessary to operate our Services in compliance with HIPAA. This may include sharing with healthcare providers (Covered Entities) for legitimate treatment or operational purposes, and with vendors or subcontractors under signed Business Associate Agreements (BAAs). We may also disclose data when required by law, subpoena, or regulatory order.
MamaBots implements administrative, physical, and technical safeguards designed to protect personal and health information. These include encryption in transit and at rest (TLS 1.2+, AES-256), multi-factor authentication, strict access controls, and regular audits.
Your data may be stored or processed in the United States or other jurisdictions where Matacs operates. Matacs ensures adequate safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), to protect personal data transferred across borders.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information; withdraw consent; or request a copy of your data. Requests can be directed to info@matacs.com and will be processed in accordance with applicable laws.
We retain your data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy or as required by law or contractual agreements. When data is no longer needed, it is securely deleted or anonymized.
